Iran film to vie at UK filmfest

Iranian director Kaveh Mazaheri’s ‘Retouch’ has been qualified for the British Film Institute London Film Festival in the UK.

‘Retouch’ was introduced to the Academy Awards through Poland’s Krakow Film Festival in June as well as the New York-based Tribeca Film Festival in April.

The acclaimed short film had won the Audience Award at the Portuguese film festival of 'Vila do Conde'.

Produced by the Iranian Young Cinema Society, ‘Retouch’ is about a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes and she just observes the tragic scene.

Founded in 1933, the British Film Institute combines cultural, creative and industrial roles, bringing together the BFI National Archive and BFI Reuben Library, film distribution, exhibition and education at BFI Southbank and BFI IMAX, publishing and festivals.
